thanks to those who reminded me abt my lack of updating of my blog...at least that shows there are people who bothered enough to want to read abt my updates....had been wanting to update for many times over the past week but just didn't manage to, only till now...

amazingly, two weeks of sch have past and its CNY today!!! haha..but somehow this year the mood for CNY is not evident, at least within me...could be due to the fact that i stay in sch...but even just now when i was out at river hongbao and chinatown, the crowd was evidently lesser as compared to last yrs and the general feeling i receive is people are spending less, whether it is the consumers or the organizers for the festive celebrations...it is true for the latter, having read that from the newspaper...a gloomier year predicted ahead but don't let this affect our mood...its still essential to be upbeat in bad times, for the sun will always return after a heavy downpour :)

have been really blessed this weekend...met up with 2 diff groups of people yest, and we sort of shopped for what i want for my birthday present...well for one who doesn't expect people to give presents, i find it a blessing to be able to receive one...and today i had 3 birthday cakes!! haha...one was from my church family this morning and 2 others are during reunion dinner when both my sis and anut bought cakes...these were the 2 cakes...




blueberry cheesecake and chocolate royal...both fantastic cakes...felt terribly overdosed with cakes today but very very blessed by the love of a family, spiritual and physical ones...really appreciate what they did and definitely always a reminder of God's beautiful creation in me..something which was reminded in me today: to always be pouring out of my life to others, a personal belief and conviction to live my life meaningful for others, to enhance and make a difference to others
