thank God for the mid-term break this coming week..a time to rest and recover as well as to refresh in the Lord..

was watching the online streaming of my church's worship last sun and i was ministered through what pastor shared during the worship...

9"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[f] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

indeed, ask from God the blessings which He has stored for you in Heaven...present your needs to Him and He will bless you with so much more..simply because He is our Father in Heaven...sometimes when i feel that i'm far away from God, its because i didn't ask from Him to bless me with the impt needs in my life..things which i need to ask from Him but neglected..and through this ministry, He reminded me that i need to ask from Him, esp things that matter to eternity and not the things of the world...

and one thing i've asked God for is to reflect more of Jesus in my life..to allow the light of Jesus to shine through me..i know i haven't done enough but i want to allow God to work through my life and use me to let the pple see the presence of God..

one impt verse which is kept in my memory since yest....it helped me overcome negative thoughts..

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
